I got this because of the idea that it can do so many great things and has such great features. And it really is, no sacrifices (except maybe memory size) and the performance is amazing. However, there are some features that are nifty but easily manageable with cheaper options. For example, disk space is FAST, but 1TB is smaller. It's basically a combination of four or five functions in one box and it's well made with quality and fast parts. But you pay for ALL these features when you might not need them. Buying only what you need could save you money. There's definitely a reason for the portability, if the computer you're taking it to can connect to it, you can take your personal game files with you wherever you go. Finally, I would heartily recommend the WD_Black D50 Game Dock NVMe SSD 1TB RGB with Thunderbolt 3 connectivity up to 3000MB/s - WDBA3U0010BBK-NESN if you think you need all or most of the features, otherwise it will be cheaper/better could easily get the items you need.
