Review on 🍳 Cooks Standard 9-Piece Classic Stainless Steel Cooking Set by Monica Cox

I bought these pans to replace a very old set of pans that I've been using for about 20 years (which didn't start out as great quality however they were clearly durable). I looked at more expensive sets like the All Clad first because of their reputation. But each of the more expensive sets had "sandwich" style metal extending from the base to the sides of the pots. While this is great for heat distribution, the aluminum core is always open at the edge, making it difficult to clean in the dishwasher (aluminum corrodes from most dishwasher inserts). I even contacted the maker of some kits to question the "dishwasher safe" labels - and indeed all were open core. So I had to decide how important heat distribution was. I figured I could sacrifice some heat distribution on the sides (this set still has sandwiched metal in the base) for the convenience of being able to wash in the dishwasher. I chose this particular set because it only had one pan - and I have a lot of pans - and because it had an all-purpose steamer in addition to the convenient pot sizes. I also wanted a set with glass lids. And I LOVE my choice; This set is exactly what I wanted (and a good half the price of the pot sets I originally looked at). Every detail is of high quality; heat distribution is more than good; Dishwasher ensures perfect cleanliness; Glass lids are beautiful; everything except for the comfortable handles and the hooks on the lid that don't get hot, just great. I love this set and can only recommend it.
