The union nut on the water inlet is not deep enough. There is insufficient threading to ensure a good seal between the union nut and the water inlet. Whatever I do, it flows. Pipe thread tape, pipe thread sealant, both together, automotive gasket mold. It flows no matter what. Use a rubber gasket or don't use a rubber gasket, it will still leak. It's still leaking as of this writing and the coating has mostly worn away the nut from being removed and reinstalled so many times. Good that the lever for a right hand shower is on the right side. Works fine and on and off.
