Pseudo-science in a cylinder

"Molecule, impartial research for me, but not for you." If you're reading this, you're probably looking for an air purifier. Oh is that you? Big. I'll keep it simple, DO NOT give this company your hard earned money. Well, if you're anything like me you're about to read this entire review, so buckle up because we have a lot to cover. 1. The build quality is excellent, it exudes a premium feel.2. The fan runs strangely strong, it doesn't move much air but makes a very wheezy/raspy noise when accelerating.3. Auto mode is a complete lie. Auto mode is actually a medium mode that does nothing but maintain the set fan speed at all times.4. There are no air quality sensors in this device. Molekule claims that there is no sensor that can detect with the accuracy required. It's pointless. Almost all air purifiers require the sensor to be placed before air is drawn into the device in order to get a realistic reading of the air in the room, not that which has already been 'cleaned'. Molekule has implemented a sensor called "Auto-Protect" in the AirMini+, which only shows the air quality in a four-color display on the top of the device and in the app. Common sense dictates that Molekule knows how horrible their air purifiers are and doesn't want the customer to realize their $400 fan is doing next to nothing. The app is useless. In fact, the app is so useless that it only calculates filter life and adjusts fan speed.6. The "first purge" Molekule built into their machine is also useless. I suspect it takes Square FT's input and starts the countdown timer animation to keep you feeling productive. Many thanks to Molekule for using a bag instead of styrofoam to protect the device during shipping, although the fact that the device is encased in at least 5 pounds of resource-hungry aluminum likely negates that. But in small steps, right? Coming back to the first word I said in this review, "Molecules, unbiased research for me, not for you," why did I say that? Well, Pandora's box opens on the other side of the molecule, their advertisement. If you search YouTube for unsponsored reviews of the Molekule, you'll be happy to find more than 10. Molekule seems to sponsor almost every "review" of this device. Call me a skeptic, but that's not normal. Another anomaly with Molekule is their Reddit page (r/molekule), they actively manage it and are quick to discredit any topic/issue, quickly citing a list of discussion topics that they repeat frequently. . And finally, what worries me the most is this company, their lab sponsorship. Molekule will only fund research that is sponsored by and under the control of the company. Molekule claims to be a research and development company, but in reality they advertise products that don't perform at the level that the company claims.
