Try to ignore the size of these things, 1 1/2 inches is a lot smaller in diameter. This is a drain auger tip, not a machine shop cutting tool. These "grooved balls" appear to slip through elbows, but break out of roots and ordinary sewage runoff. I have three sizes of these choppers. I have a 4 inch PVC sewer pipe. An awkward blockage based on hard roots just behind the back-to-back toilets (sanitary facilities - separate rooms). I removed the old toilets (it's time for low water toilets anyway). Used the smallest clog chopper and got a powerful, clean sewer line in about 20 minutes. The new toilets work great. I'm seriously considering one of these canal chambers to make sure I'm not wrong. Many Thanks.
