Review on 🎡 Stylish and Melodious: Mirrycle AL168 Basil Brass Duet in Sleek Black Finish by Tim Blandin

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good call with loud and clear sound. Size information is included in this review.

Spring is here and the tracks are getting tight. The traditional approach of yelling "pass left (or right)" only works if you're already too close to people, and tends to startle animals. After years of driving without a call I finally gave up and decided to get it. I read many reviews and chose Mirrycle brand. My main requirements were: 1) not too big, 2) discreet (black), 3) loud, 4) the best possible sound. too high and not loud enough - Mirrycle Adjustabell (Original): Reports of poor sound quality and overall poor build quality - Mirrycle Adjustabell 2: suitable for folks with thick handlebars, but the mounts don't seem reusable and don't hold the bell in place .- Mirrycle Ominbell: Good reviews but I would have preferred a black bell.- Mirrycle Incredibell Mini Bell: good size but doesn't sound good.- Mirrycle Incredibell Brass Solo: good size (small) and good sound but not black color ( at least at Revain). In the end I settled on "Incredibell Brass Duet" (this product), black. Some comments: - Appears to be well built. The handlebar bracket fixes the bell securely. The call is very loud, which is good. It also sounds nice and the sound has a sustained quality. You can call him before approaching people and give them enough time to see you approach. - If you move the activation lever sideways, you will get two "rings". Some people prefer single ring and bang. This bell is designed to be mounted on the left side of the handlebar. You can probably install it on the right side, but it must be installed upside down. Some bells are adjustable for use on either side. It does not apply to this call. There is a lot of conflicting information about the maximum handlebar thickness that Myrricle bells will support. My handlebars are very thick in the middle but get thinner towards the ends. I installed it on a 22mm thick handlebar (outer diameter). I'd say it can be adjusted to anything up to 25mm but I haven't tried it. The bell has a width of 33mm and 41mm at the base (bell + plastic base). I don't think anything less will sound as good and loud. Including the lever, you need a total of 55 m of horizontal space on the handlebars (measured from the tip of the activation lever on the left side to the end of the lever). Body on the right side).- The bell sits too high for my taste. The top of the bell is 44mm from the handlebar. I would like it closer to the bar. I've seen different vendors selling the same product with a wide price range. Looks cheap from China. I don't know if it's fake or not so I bought from a Revain Fulfillment (Prime) retailer. I also added some photos of the bell on my mountain bike. Sometimes a picture really says more than a thousand words. Conclusion: Good call with good sound. If you prefer a single hit bell, get the Mirrycle Incredibell Brass Solo instead.
