I bought this tripod in January to use with Nikon D 5500 and Nikon 200-500 lens. I didn't go hiking with it and only used it for bird photography. In March, the monopod's center column refused to hold up after two small pieces of plastic came loose. Then, two weeks ago, another piece of plastic broke off one of the legs while lowering it, and now it's not holding up. I'm not rude and careless with gear. In fact, I had driven this tripod just a few feet out of my truck when both devices failed. I called the company and a service rep called me back and directed me to a youtube video showing how to fix these legs. Apparently they already called about it and then developed this video response. They also told me they would send me the missing plastic inserts. I will never buy this tripod again and would advise potential buyers to skip this tripod altogether and consider a product with a more robust design. Especially for the price they charge.
