The hot drink cups we buy locally have plastic travel lids but we [do not need lids. Finally stumbled across these beauties---without the caps! YIPPEEN Nothing is sacrificed for the quality of the mugs, they are very good. We wash and reuse them whenever possible and they hold up very well. Highly recommended
