I've had Darn Tough socks for two years now and will never go back to ready-made, store-bought boot socks. It makes my legs so happy. I wear them all year round and in winter they keep my feet warm; and my summer feet are very cool. A word of caution: if you don't move, your feet will get hot or cold no matter what. DTs don't stink when covered in sweat and can be machine washed and tumble dried - care instructions are on the packaging. The socks are very tight so if you have large calves the socks leave indentations in the calf where they are held - I liken them to compression stockings. received permission to return socks; I mailed the socks back to Darn Tough (at my own expense) and 10 days later received an email with a link to get credit for ordering the socks on their website - they paid for shipping. The loan covered the cost of an equivalent pair, so I bought the exact same pair again. My buddy at work wears DT five days a week and now his wife does too. We all work outside. I will start buying DT for my wife next year and continue to add to my collection of DT socks. Incidentally, I also wear DT sports socks and will never go back to normal sports socks.
