Awesome socks in Athletic Socks

Great socks. I've been using Darn Tough socks for a number of years. I always wear boots and have had problems with blisters, especially on long walks/hikes. I found Full Cushion 1405 and this T4033 prevent this. Tactical socks sit slightly higher on the calves. I speak about them enough good reviews. Tactical socks have a higher percentage of Merino wool and are slightly thinner than 1405. So far I prefer T4033. The only downside is the cost, but I won't need to replace them for a while…

Perfect winter socks, nerves let down Darn Tough

I love the durability of the Darn Tough socks, I've been wearing the medium-heavy Darn Tough Hikers every day for over four years. For winter wear and colder weather I love these socks. The fit is perfect, the sock does not fall into the boot. I can wear a pair of Darn Tough socks for years with no problems or holes. If you consider socks an essential part of hiking and outdoor activities like skiing and snowshoeing, these socks will not disappoint. As for the typical glitches after many years…

Most comfortable in sports socks

I bought these socks for my friend because he got a new job and had to wear work boots and be below 0 in 40 degrees for a few days. For the first few days his feet were cold and calloused from his boots. Bought him these socks and he said his feet have never felt so good, soft and comfortable despite calluses. He said his feet weren't even frozen in the freezer. He loves her and wants more. He's a size 11 and loafers but I bought a size up, I think XL because some of the reviews said they were…

Go down your usual size DT

They fit so much more than any DT socks I own. And all my socks are German. From Micro-Team, 1/4s, no appearances. From ultra light to extra padded. I have always worn size XL and size L was a bit tight but worked. They are massive. I assume the dimensions have changed. Also, these aren't thick socks, I think the heavy denomination is the thickness of the cord. They are not an additional cushion like mountain socks. They have the highest percentage of wool you can get from dt. That's it…

They are THICK, they feel like double socks.

I bought these heavy socks to wear with classic leather boots in cold, wet winter weather. I wanted something that would keep my feet warm and comfortable for standing in uninsulated leather boots for an hour and they would definitely do the job. They are two or three times thicker than regular Darn Tough or other wool hiking socks. When I first took them out of the box I thought they were folded in half but they are so thick. They take the shape of the foot well and stretch well. They are very

Happy feet, happy life.

I've had Darn Tough socks for two years now and will never go back to ready-made, store-bought boot socks. It makes my legs so happy. I wear them all year round and in winter they keep my feet warm; and my summer feet are very cool. A word of caution: if you don't move, your feet will get hot or cold no matter what. DTs don't stink when covered in sweat and can be machine washed and tumble dried - care instructions are on the packaging. The socks are very tight so if you have large calves the…

Excellent warm socks; Lifetime Warranty

Having purchased and used LL Bean Merino wool socks for over a decade and a half, I have been disappointed at how quickly they wear out. To make them last longer, I felted new wool in the heel and ball of the foot for about 5 years. In 2019 I decided to look elsewhere. Darn Tough Vermont Socks have become a real find. Especially for snowy and cold New England winters, the No. 4033 extra cushioning socks are warmer and more durable than the above. The longer lifespan is very true as all Darn…

Great socks BUT the reviews are misleading. Not "thick "

I love damn hard socks. I think they make the best socks all the time. I also really like these socks. However, there is a big problem. These socks are deceiving both in the description and in the reviews. I used to have both Smartwool mountaineering socks and extra thick Redhead socks. I wanted to replace them with other very thick plush socks, mostly merino wool. I usually wear them at home in the winter. I bought these based on the description and all the reviewers said they were "fat"…
