Clam works well on a marble counter, we add a thin wooden board to make it denser. However, sometimes we need to hold the device with one hand because the device won't stay stable when the dough gets thick. It looks good, but the edges, especially at the bottom, are sharp. You have to be careful. It came with a brush and is easy to clean. Made the pasta successfully the first time. We tried both settings. The regular wide side works fine, but the angled hair side (thin noodles) doesn't cut the knot completely, so we have to separate each noodle manually. The overall experience is fine. I think next time I'll go for a Made in Italy one.
