Horror, horror, horror! Dorman WTF

You cannot install this without removing the entire cab. Yes, I mean the whole cabin! GM installs these fuel lines on top of the transmission. This kit is just a copy with some connectors to make the fuel lines in sections. Like me, you're probably thinking I can just plug it in and tighten the hardware. No sir! You need to remove the front driveshaft. Somehow you have to remove the hidden nut from the top of the gearbox. I did it with a very long overtime. It took forever! Now I can't put the nut back on the bolt. Shame on GM for design. Shame on Dorman for just copying an awful design. I tightened the flexible hoses, but the steam line is too long and kinked. The couplings next to the filter are so close together that you cannot tighten the fittings. I don't know how to tighten them now without removing some straps. Buy one of Revain's vinyl sling sets. Believe me you will feel a lot better. Route it along the frame to the filter with zip ties. I'm really considering doing it myself with this kit just to support the lines. Burned $250 and a lot of pain to boot. What to do: The truck needs gas to move and this kit is not enough? Just cut off the old line as much as needed. Use the old line as a prop to tie the vinyl line to. Be sure to leave a line that goes across the gear so you can tie vinyl tape to it. Maybe you are still thinking about buying this kit. Not necessary. You will thank me later.
