Let's unplug your TV from the cable box

I think the people who made this product meant me. I needed to transmit a television signal from one end of a large room to the other about twenty feet away. I could run the cable through the insulation-filled attic or run the above-ground line. But these little boxes are great for that. You sit next to the cable box in a chest of drawers on the side of the room with the cable connection. Another hangs on the wall next to the TV. This thing is equipped with an infrared control relay that works in the opposite direction and tells the cable box which channel to tune it to by placing a sensor next to the TV and an IR emitter on a shelf in front of the cable box. All of this works fine. It was really easy to set up. I use a remote antenna with a magnetic mount that allows me to hide the transmitter along with the cable box. Luckily I have steel studs in my wall so the saucer mount has something to catch on. The receiver box is light enough that I can hang it on the wall with some picture stickers.
