First of all the fan looks great and really blows air!. but at high settings there's a fairly noticeable motor noise that can be annoying. It's inaudible at low or mid frequencies, which I use 98% of the time. You should also be prepared for the "What makes this picture different from the previous picture?” style instructions. I just put a Hunter fan in our master bedroom with no problem, but on this fan I missed the yoke cover because I didn't notice all the differences between steps 3 and 4. My mistake is that I didn't do some inventory before starting, but like the others said, these instructions could be revised. My final gripe, and probably the most important of the day-to-day concerns, is device management. There are 3 lighting modes (daylight, warm white and a combination) and 3 speeds (low, medium, high). The bright white and warm white modes aren't bright enough to adequately illuminate the room by themselves, which is fine with me as I prefer the mixed mode where both LED strips are on at the same time. The problem stems from the fact that mixed mode is the 3rd option and if you turn off the light with a switch or remote it doesn't remember your settings, it turns back on in daylight and you go back to mixed have to. Every time I turn off this fan I need the remote to go back to the 3rd light setting. The same applies to the fan. If you turn off the device while the fan is on, turning the switch back on will not turn on the fan. I want to remember the last settings when I turn off the light by switch or remote control.
