I have been walking barefoot in FiveFingers every day for 8 years. This is my fifth pair. The stitching in this particular pair is quite aggressive. After trail running, I got rough blisters that prevented me from wearing my shoes for several days. I ordered a pair of lightweight toe socks and was still able to fit my normal size. But it's tight. The socks have kept me from blisters even on 10 mile runs. Socks also prevent dirt from getting in. Moral of the story: buy socks when you buy treadmills.
