I am very impressed and in love with my Vibrams!

I love my Vibrams. I use them for road and pavement runs as well as cross country. I ran a total of 9.25 freeway miles and they didn't let me down. They have improved my posture and gait. I'm looking for another pair for everyday wear. Maybe the Merrills with the soul of Vibram without fingers. I don't think I'll be wearing them as often as running shoes.

Pros
  • A few competitors
Cons
  • Some little things

Outsole and fabric are great for trail running, great grip and toe protection as advertised. maybe for protection but feel very tight. Also between them is a double line with a rim on the inside, very hard and uncomfortable, it hurts after a few runs. I lost them this week and would rather buy the old version of the v-trail. I'm just glad it wasn't my first!

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Buy socks or blister pack

I have been walking barefoot in FiveFingers every day for 8 years. This is my fifth pair. The stitching in this particular pair is quite aggressive. After trail running, I got rough blisters that prevented me from wearing my shoes for several days. I ordered a pair of lightweight toe socks and was still able to fit my normal size. But it's tight. The socks have kept me from blisters even on 10 mile runs. Socks also prevent dirt from getting in. Moral of the story: buy socks when you buy…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Minor problems

The inseam caused a wound on the toe

I may have received a defective pair. The right boot has an inseam at the toe that feels like a tough outer rubber material protruding inward. I wore it on a 4 mile hike and discovered halfway down that it wasn't a stone, it was a defective stitching. It was too late and the hard protrusion left a wound the size of my fingertip. I've had many pairs of Vibrams and none of them have ever done so. Let's see if the seller will return my purchase as they describe unworkable return requirements…

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Safety

The shoes are a big disappointment and I will never be able to wear them.

I am very disappointed. I still have 3 pairs of Vibram shoes. 2 of them have five fingers. I wear them every day and often all day. They fit perfectly and are so comfortable. These shoes are one size but too small. Also, the raised rear panel of the shoe is extremely uncomfortable. I did not take the time to return these shoes because my husband is very ill and I am taking care of him. I will definitely never wear these shoes and would happily return them even though the return time has…
