Review on 🐟 Optimal Dual Density Aquarium Filter Pad - High-Quality Aquarium Filter Media Roll for Ultra-Clear Water by Jeremy Lawrence

Revainrating 5 out of 5

10 gallons I've had since the 70's (it's just awesome; a few betas living happily ever after.

I have 2 tanks. 10 gallons that I had from the 70's (okay; a couple of betas living happily ever after with a 20 gallon aqueon filter) and a 40 gallon breeding tank I have for 5 big goldfish, goldfish are hogs, and they're a dirty 2 in hanging from this tank. I even washed them every week and refilled them with charcoal and ammonia absorber after a week. It got to the point where I couldn't clean the water anymore and I just didn't have the extra money to keep buying the filter boxes I needed. I just got this reel last week. I put them in the filters Thursday night and when I got up on Friday morning my water was crystal clear! I have the old ones, heru Filled run-down, thin, crumbling filter with activated carbon and ammonia absorber (kept them for spares when changing water). 4 days have passed and there is still no turbidity in the aquarium "mumps". I only fed her an hour ago and the water is already clear as usual. I don't care what anyone says, you feed the fish flakes and the water gets a little cloudy. This is my filter fluff now. Mind you, I tried this blue and white filter I bought at my local fish store for a month. Nada, puff, nugga. Now I use it to clean the walls of the tank. One more thing. When I change the water, I water my houseplants. I've had mega basil, oregano, parsley, mint, and thyme (pizza and mojito) all winter. Aquarium water also works wonders for all my other flowers, plants and trees. Don't waste your aquaponic water!

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
