Review on ⚡ LiitoKala Lii-500 Battery Charger: LCD Display for Testing 18650, 26650, AA, AAA Battery Capacity by Kimberly Bourque

After charging several battery packs with the charger, I was very annoyed. There is not enough space around the batteries (even 18650s) to remove them without tools. I ended up with a plastic bike tire. Bic-Knob works in a pinch. seems stupid. The AA batteries work well, the spring isn't that tight and there's enough room for easy loading and unloading. 18650 is not that much. The springs seem WAY too strong for the 18650, when I lift the battery up, as soon as it's released the battery shoots through space. It's quite difficult to press on the battery to detach it from the bottom lip, lift the battery while holding it so it doesn't fly out. Unlike every other charger I've seen, this one requires a negative charge on the top of the device and a positive charge on the bottom. I have no idea why they decided to change the usual alignment. Of course there is an imprint showing this, but it's black on black and pretty hard to see on the underside of the battery compartment. The interface is also quite annoying. There is no indication of the status of each battery, which is a big problem. To check which batteries are charged, press buttons 1, 2, 3, and 4 in sequence. Seems silly instead of the battery status LEDs you get on devices that cost 1/4 more. A simple red/green LED on the battery would be of great help. Also, the device doesn't remember the charging current, so I have to reset it for each battery every time I insert a new battery. All in all, I would not recommend this device. Find one that shows the status of each battery, has easier access to the battery, and can remember the charge rate you set. If you listen to LiitoKala, this device promises. Halve the spring force, add a few millimeters for battery access, remind the device of the charge rate and add a green/red indicator for each battery.
