I always buy genuine parts when available and try to avoid the aftermarket. This speed sensor is further proof that OEM is the way to go. This was for my '92 Ford F250. I had a posterior ab problem and replaced the magnet with a rebuilt one. Just in case (and for convenience) I ordered a Dorman unit to solve both possible problems. Why not. It's only $10 and I know I have a good sensor, right? NOT CORRECT. It was non-functional right out of the box. It tests fine but doesn't work. I returned the OEM unit and it works fine so I'm keeping it to myself. It also proves that Dorman's part is GARBAGE. There's nothing worse than crawling under a car and replacing a part, only to find it's junk. I used to use Dorman parts when I didn't have a choice. I will think twice before choosing this brand again.
