One For The Road: my feedback

I bought the Asmoke for RVing. I have a large Pit Boss at home so I enjoy pellet grilling. Also some campsites have a ‘no open flame’ rule so this seems to fit every occasion. For the maiden voyage I chose a small brisket. I had to check the temperature periodically because it seemed to drift up and down some. I now believe this was due to wind. Future smokes will tell. The Asmoke provided good smoke at the low temps and the aroma of the wood is fantastic! I tried a formula I use on the Pit Boss of an hour per pound of cook time. But I believe with a smaller piece meat like this low and slow for several hours is the key. The final result was delicious though and as I said this was only my first time cranking this little guy up. I foresee having a lot great meals from this smoker. Like it’s larger relatives it’s can multi- task grilling, braising, baking as well as smoking. I have a suggestion regarding the nice grill cover that comes with it. Provide a slit in the cover at the handle so the Asmoke can easily be carried with the cover on. I really like the design of the grill itself. There’s plenty of cooking area with upper rack where potatoes can be baking or vegetables simmering in a small aluminum pan. The pellet hopper has a close and click lid which keeps the pellets well contained during transport. The Asmoke lid has clip locks like a suitcase also providing easy transport. This grill would also be great for apartment living, tailgating, you name it! I’m very pleased so far!
