Installing/Inspecting 2013 JK 2 Door with 2 " Lift Kit and Aftermarket Bumper

First the panel itself: Very well made - excellent workmanship, weld, fit/finish. Installation: Step 1: Cast 2. Slide the Fina mounting bracket into place leaving it loose and out of the way 3. Lift the plate and install the 2 rear mounting bolts into the rear cross member - leave the bolts loose but as close as possible to 4. Connect the mounting bracket to the rear crossmember plate with 3 connecting bolts, if there is a problem with the bolt closest to the exhaust pipe, just leave it until you attach the bracket to the other frame crossmember. .Now lift the mounting brackets or use a jack to put them in place and drill 2 holes Drill into the other crossmember with a 7/16" or 1/2" drill bit. Install plate nuts and tighten 2 screws - I used a large screwdriver and magnetic extension but this is PIA!. 7. Tighten the 2 bracket screws and 3 plate/bracket screws. 8. Center/place the jack near the back of the plate and press the 2 back plate extensions against the frame cross member - now tighten the 2 connecting bolts and you are done. Note. If you already have an aftermarket rear bumper installed, you may need to trim the rear mounting bracket slightly (if it came with the kit). I did this with a cutting wheel and had to cut about 1/2" off each side to allow the 2 rear skid plate extensions to fit snugly against the rear cross member. Good luck - the plate is well worth it. Money and effort!
