I was a little skeptical at first as it's not a big name brand SATA mSATA SSD but also an outdated connector. So that was a big part of it, if you're looking for old obsolete parts they tend to be a bit pricey due to low demand. But installed and disconnected any additional storage devices, plugged in the USB install of my operating system and started the computer. The drive was recognized and I was able to install the operating system without any problems. The drive is fast. No problems using it, I've been using it actively for about 6 months now, reading and writing all the time.
