Review on ๐Ÿ”‹ 10ft 8mm Fuel Line Assembly for Yamaha Outboard Marine Boat Motor - Rubber Fuel Gas Hose Line Assembly by Blake Clemons

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Line gauge is too small for the 50hp Yamaha PRO 50.

I've spent months trying to figure out why my Yamaha PRO 50 50hp motor isn't working. stalls at top speed. Gains top speed for 20 seconds, then swamp. (repeat) Unfortunately, I didn't just replace the gas line. I changed a number of variables: I replaced the tank, the line, added a sensor to the tank, changed the tank fittings, changed the fuel filters. Is working. That made it difficult to understand. One of the pictures of this fuel line states that it is suitable for engines up to 200 hp. But after changing many of the things I just mentioned, the solution to my problem was to replace that fuel line with a 3/8 inch line. No more swamps. A little chart stating that the 5/16 inch line only works for engines of 40 hp or less. 3/8 were 50 hp or more. In other words, a picture saying this 5/16 inch line will work with a 200hp engine almost can't be right.
