The color is not always clear.

I ordered these for my fountain so the bees can land and drink. I ordered a large size so the crows wouldn't steal it like a shiny jewel. While the balls work for both needs. But although they are transparent, they appear dark, almost black, in the water. Although I wanted to clean, they work great so I'll leave them.

Pros

usage. Although many people use these gems for play and collecting, the main purpose of gems is to fill vases. Perfect for flower displays, these reusable glass stones also serve to hold the stems in place.
