Review on Flexzion Paintball Tactical Protection Halloween by Antonio Bacon

Revainrating 4 out of 5

This review is directly related to the airsoft

These masks turned out to be excellent. I loaded my GBB M-9 with pure propane and the heaviest bullets I could (.30 I remember) and dropped an entire magazine (28 rounds) on it from about 10 feet. Loaded a couple of medium .25 AEGs and fired another 200-300 rounds, again at the same range. I'm happy to report that the masks took little to no damage from this experience, with the exception of a few minor dents on the mesh eyecups (which couldn't be said for me as the experience resulted in many serious rebounds). The thickness of the plastic and its curvature make it functionally impervious to airsoft guns. However, I was under the impression that focused fire on any of the mesh eyecups or mouth openings could eventually lead to failure. In realistic use of this airsoft mask this will almost certainly never happen, but I thought it was worth mentioning anyway. It's also worth noting that the mask doesn't protect anything it doesn't cover. I realize this sounds obvious, but I was a little surprised by the number of blows to the neck and sides of the head that went through the mask. Breath condensation is generally not a problem as the entire mask breathes well and the mouthpiece is actually a reasonable distance from the mouth. Doesn't seem to bother radio use at all; could speak and be heard very well, with minimal attenuation. The foam inserts in the first one I ordered were essentially stickers which I really liked as they gave me the ability to customize them for a more comfortable fit. I was even able to cut and shape them, which was very nice. The second one I ordered had a pre-curved, plastic-coated pad which is better for everyone. Not that comfortable (especially if you're fit and sweaty), but bearable. Say it like this; If both used sticker-like padding, this would be a 5-star rating.

Pros
  • protective gear
Cons
  • I don't remember but something happened
