“OFF-LABEL” USE - DIY NURSE’S CALL BUTTON

I have become a caregiver following my wife’s brain surgery. I wanted something like a nurse’s call button. I was searching on Google when my doorbell rang. That’s when it occurred to me that what I needed was another transmitter for my wireless doorbell. A few months ago I had purchased the Cooqiya system and am very pleased. I use West Minster Chimes for the front door and a Rooster Crow for the back door. I thought, if I could have a third transmitter, with a different tone, I could attach the transmitter to her hospital bed-rail.So I purchased another identical system hoping that they would all work together, but if not, it would still work - I would just have two separate systems.Thankfully they did work together - now I am using 3 transmitters with all six receivers (distributed around the house). Now I can sleep upstairs, work out in the garage, or down in the basement. The system claims to have a 1000 ft range. I am a pastor living in a parsonage next to the church. It turns out that the signal reaches my office approximately 150 yards away and though about five walls - AWESOME

Pros
  • ‎2 Transmitters + 1 Receivers
Cons
  • The buttons may become unresponsive over time with repeated use
