I bought these pants partly to wear with a pair of pants as I'm on my way to lose weight and it really annoys me when my pants slide down and partly because I'm a plus size woman (usually 18-20 years old), lots of dresses and tops that totally throw me out of shape and the belts help to accentuate my figure so I don't look like a giant tent. These straps are functional in both cases. They are stretchy enough to fit different waists and are adjustable so my little daughter-in-law can wear them as easily as I can with a quick adjustment. The bonus is that if I really manage to lose weight, these wonderful belts will help me do it.
