I bought this printer to replace another Brother that left toner on my pages. Brand new, ready to use, quality equal or worse than the unit I replaced. yes i cleaned it That helps for 1-2 prints and then goes back to the toner everywhere. As mentioned, replacing a brand new photoconductor unit with another is a) more than the cost of the printer and b) crap if there's no guarantee it will make a difference. avoid it Follow-up post from February 2019 - finally pissed off enough with the printer quality to try and fix it. Ordered replacement drum and toner kits from LxTek at Revain: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078JLRXJ6/ and https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D38MKB1/ Replacing the drum did not help. do a lot. The toner cartridge solved the problem. It cost me another sixty dollars, but now I have a spare photoconductor and new one, plus a spare toner cartridge and most importantly, a working printer. Hope this helps someone else who is stuck with this device.
