I bought this set mainly for the foam pieces as our little one loves slamming doors and locking himself in random rooms and closets and they work great. Even with repeated attempts to close the door, they stay in place, preventing them from closing the door and pinching their fingers. Rubber; This keeps her from slipping with them and cushions the impact on her toes when she hits them on the leg of a bar stool. The rubber pieces didn't fall off, when she realized she couldn't move the bar stools, she basically ignored them. and it doesn't bother us because we hardly ever use them anyway, and when we use bar stools we always pick them up because we don't want to damage our hardwood floors.
