We love these items when we picnic at wineries. We take it to the fridge with ice packs and when we go to the winery and buy our bottle we put this baby on top and it keeps the bottle cold all the time when we're out on the picnic, even in the hot weather. I think they are meant to help cool the bottle faster, which works well too. We also use it when we bring a bottle of white wine to a party. When you arrive it's still as cold as you took it out of the fridge. It's strange that different colors have different prices. We just went with green grapes as they were the cheapest, just as attractive as the others and did the job.
