The TT-30R socket, which can be installed on a generator or at a campsite, serves to connect a 30A trailer, power your trailer or camper. However, some of us would like to use this socket as an additional 120V household power supply (2 or 3 pin) and this adapter allows us to do just that. Note, however, that the resulting output power is reduced to 15A, in contrast to the traditional 30A TT-30R is limited. This is probably a good thing as most home appliances can't handle 30A anyway. And for most generators, household outlets are rated for no more than 20A. The maximum load rating for this adapter is 125 volts, 1875 watts. Big and chunky, this adapter is easy to handle even in adverse weather, gloves, etc. Turn off the generator or other power source first. This adapter is a really inexpensive way to use TT-30R power supplies for home appliances and it does the job well as long as you don't overload or abuse it.
