Review on McGard 24215 Chrome Thread Wheel by Chris Dildine

Revainrating 5 out of 5

the other luggage racks were scrap, the head of the lock nut had broken off.

I bought two different sets (different brands) from local aftermarket parts stores for my 2013 Regal GS 20 inch wheels. Locknuts broken off on two locknuts, again too small. I used a four-sided hand tool, not a percussion tool. Apart from a "suitable" dealer, I couldn't find anything. The retailer wanted almost $100 for my store value, not the retail listing. So I ordered them as a last chance before wasting a lot of money unnecessarily. I was concerned when I read a review of how they tear Ford rims. If you look at my photos, they "appear" to have less contact area than the factory. But if you look closely, the contact area is actually the same. The factory has less tip area and more tip area, which is either not in contact with the surface of the wheel. I just installed them (and took them off to check for damage) at 5 miles n. Looks good with no damage. So if I don't have any issues in the future (which I'll update when I do) then they're perfect.
