I am very satisfied with this rug. It is soft and flattens out well after being removed from the packaging. It holds the tile well and I don't need a backing for it. The only reason I'm deducting a star from the rating is the quality of the item. Right now there are a few areas where I had to trim loose strands that are sticking out over the rest of the strands. I'm hoping more of this doesn't unravel over time and maybe it's just a factory item, but in the months or so that I've had I always find at least one long strand that looks like what I have . cut every time I look. It's not too bad that I wouldn't recommend the mat, and it might just be mine, but it happens. I still like the carpet and it's used in the basement/guest bathroom so it doesn't wear out much after the renovation. Personally I'm not a huge fan of the texture of the material either, it's a 'slips/slips when wet' type of material but still soft and absorbent, but I personally don't like it for bath rugs or anything. will see moisture. It's hard to explain, but maybe some people will understand what I'm trying to say! But still 4 stars because it's personal preference.
