A second power supply is not required to use KVM. The power supply is no longer manufactured.
Tried to use it as a 4 port USB KVM extender but the local box requires a second power supply which is not included and is no longer manufactured. Tripp Lite offered to buy a second kit to get a second power supply. When the unit is connected to a PC it is powered via the USB port, but when used with KVM only a second power supply is recommended but is not sold with it and you cannot purchase it separately.
