Review on πŸ”₯ Carbon Jetboil Zip Camping Stove Cook System by Mark Callaham

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The cheapest JetBoil. worth your money.

JetBoil Zip has been around for a long time and is the cheapest JetBoil. I already have JetBoil Sol Aluminum and love it. But for my wife's emergency kit, I also wanted a JetBoil. Looking at different models, the JetBoil Zip was the cheapest so I went with the Revain at the risk of missing out on some features. Fuel regulator, is that a problem? Not really. You can use a zippered lighter to light it up, and a regulator isn't particularly valuable if you're just boiling some water at reasonable temperatures. lower cost, with all the advantages of another JetBoil. I measured the boiling time of about 0.7 liters of water in 2:41. Definitely enough to make a good 15 boils out of it. That's enough for 5 days 3 boiling water a day. A gas bottle stabilizer, stove piece, lid and protective lid/mug are all that's included, but that's really all you need. The stove adapter is a waste of time anyway as you wouldn't be using the JetBoil as a stove unless it was a real emergency. It's just not meant for cooking. Boiling water at lower temperatures (damn it lower temperatures) means you won't get all the fuel out of your LPG tank, but it's more than enough for an emergency water boil. Purpose of use. With over 30 stoves ranging from spirit to white gas, kerosene/diesel, butane, LPG, as well as several wood stoves all lined up in my garage and well used, there is no doubt that there is currently no stove on the market .now, which is comparable to JetBoil (zip/flash/sol) or MSR Reactor when it comes to total weight (including fuel) for 1 week usage. Spirit stoves are lighter, but have less fuel for a week. make the weight significantly higher than JetBoil and 100g canisters. Multi-fuel stoves are the heaviest of all. And while wood stoves get lighter when you're older than two weeks, the problem with them is the consumables required to clean them, the time it takes to clean them, and the inefficiencies involved in installing, cooking, and cooking stacking, which makes camping fair a little more hassle.. So if you're just going camping and are on a budget, get a JetBoil Zip (and make tea/coffee/hot chocolate, instant soups and ramen, kibble or oatmeal ). Most novice hikers try not to spend a lot of time preparing food, and a hot drink that's so quick to make that it takes just 5 minutes from moment to sip is far more important than being able to drink. cook stew. Trust me on that.
