Colorado Trail fits camp stove

Used on a hiking trail in Colorado in the summer of 2017. Very light and efficient. The lighting was bright and the food was prepared quickly, saving time and fuel. Love that it has insulation so it's easy to pick up when it's hot. I have cooked and eaten all my meals straight out of the steamer. Did I mention how easy packing is? You can buy a lighter system, but you still need a tin mug and the like to cook in. It's just a perfect, perfectly executed system.

Jetboy Rules. Fits Camp Kitchen

LOVE Jetboil has been damaged. I also have a flash version and have beaten the crap out of it over the years and it still works. Zip does not have a lighting function like Flash; However, I know that if I buy this as a gift. In my experience I've done 2-3 multi-day trips on a single fuel can (small), using the Jetboil at least 3 times a day. Depending on your height, you can boil water in less than 3 minutes. I've also used mine to make rice, double cook and just simmer the MRE patrons to top…

Super efficient, highly recommend

Jetboil is a real find. I can't believe how much more effective it is for cooking and cooking outdoors. It only took a few minutes to boil 0.8 liters. The cozy cover protects you from heat and the pouring lid is very effective. All of this is perfectly packaged in itself, along with a gas cartridge (albeit a smaller canister). It is strongly not recommended to use it for cooking - it is much more effective with intensive heating than with slow and thorough cooking. Perfect for coffee, dried…

Great product, highly recommend

So I used it for a little over two weeks at a military field exercise. And in general it was great! Nothing beats a hot shave and a hot meal, except MRE. I also recommend it for all outdoor activities. It's small so it can easily fit in your backpack or lunch bag. The fuel can fits in the Jetboil, which also saves space. A few flaws (but very minor ones) 1. It doesn't have autostart. This means you will need a lighter or matches. A NOTICE. They make models with automatic starter.2. The petrol…

Hot soup or drinks anywhere in no time!

This stove is great and perfect for day and night use. I've also used it at work on the patio to make coffee, spiced cider or Thai cuisine rice noodle soup. The Jetboil Zip doesn't have electronic ignition but I can light it up with magnesium flint or a lighter, but what's so great about that? I was able to use the stove in direct wind and maintaining the flame was no problem. I also use at high altitude 10,000 feet and above and the oven works well. It packs very well in a thermos, fairly…

Pros
  • Good product for the price

The cheapest JetBoil. worth your money.

JetBoil Zip has been around for a long time and is the cheapest JetBoil. I already have JetBoil Sol Aluminum and love it. But for my wife's emergency kit, I also wanted a JetBoil. Looking at different models, the JetBoil Zip was the cheapest so I went with the Revain at the risk of missing out on some features. Fuel regulator, is that a problem? Not really. You can use a zippered lighter to light it up, and a regulator isn't particularly valuable if you're just boiling some water at reasonable…

Great stove for hiking

Overall I'm a Jetboil fan. I have a GCS (Group Cooking System, original cooker with 1.5 liter pot) and accompanying PCS mug. I bought this zip for my teenage son who, along with me, is an avid hiker, scout and entrepreneur, to have his own stove and mug. After studying it, I actually prefer to bake it. The Zip is a slightly stripped down and downsized version of the PCS with a slightly smaller bowl (0.8 liter instead of 1.0 liter) and the stove doesn't have a built in push button igniter. . It…
