Perfect. The key when it rains is proper drainage. With traditional balaclavas you create an entry point for rain to enter and under your waterproof jacket at the neck when you tuck in the balaclava. Layers, a warmer inner layer and a lightweight, water-resistant outer layer that sits outside over the collar, and Alpinestar has done it well. This thing has two layers and it's designed right. You can breathe a sigh of relief with it, I haven't tested it in the rain yet. The head area is very tight, as it should be, and it's a thin, light material, so it's not a problem when wearing a helmet, but makes it easy to put on and take off.
