Review on 🍨 Cuisinart ICE-100 Silver 1-1/2-Quart Compressor Ice Cream and Gelato Maker by Roger Alexander

There are actually SEVERAL problems with this unit. I retune it after 2 days because the gear in the freezer bowl doesn't mesh properly with the gear in the car - so the bowl doesn't spin = no ice. Well, to be fair, I got the gears turning by taking a hammer and banging the bowl against the body of the machine! There's no certainty this will work for any period of time so I'm returning with vague hopes (they're just replacing it - no refunds). Purchased through Revain: If you're not keeping up with online metrics, be aware that returning through Revain is NOT easy. Finally if it worked: As other reviewers have pointed out, it causes a mess. A complete cleaning of the machine is not possible. The bowl should have a fill/max fill line past which no more liquid can be poured: why didn't they do that, it's an extreme breach of usability (because ice cream freezes, EXPANDS - thanks for NOT telling the consumer pointed out! ). Finally, pulling the bowl out is just as problematic (maybe because I had to hammer on it?): there must be a mechanism to "push" the bowl out, but there isn't. After all, they should have a spatula designed to scrape ice cream off the blades, but if they don't care about other things, why bother. Cuisinart is a company that has lost its reputation in the past. Now they are slashing costs, keeping wages low and letting quality go down. I will NEVER buy Cuisinart products again. I predict that the company will go out of business in 5 years.
