For a while my 9 year old daughter wore a standard adult Garmin tracker and it was ridiculously large on her wrist. It's great that Garmin released a JR version of their tracker and it's more than just smaller. The Garmin vivofit JR offers many functions that are easily accessible with a single function button. Perhaps the most important thing is that it actually tells the time. There are so many fitness trackers out there that don't seem to care about time! It also has: a stopwatch, a work tracker, task timers (like brushing your teeth), active minute tracking, step tracking, and a coin system for chores. Everything comes with a parent controlled app which was very easy. set up and get started. The band fits our 9 year old and the tracker is waterproof. It's great to see a company adapting their product for kids, not just changing the size, but customizing the entire experience (including being able to include your child's name ahead of time!). My daughter loves it and it motivates her to keep moving.
