OVERVIEW: This solves a problem for my student at her school. Background: I got this to solve a problem my student daughter had at school. Dorm Room She needed a surge protector with a longer cord to move around her desk as there aren't that many outlets in her dorm room. Specifically: WHAT WE LIKE: - I like that the power cord is long enough to stretch around my desk. no problem - I like that the cable isn't flimsy; it feels sturdy (but not very heavy). - I like that the light that shows if the power strip is on is bright but not blinding (meaning I don't have to cover it at night). WHAT COULD BE BETTER: - Only objection is that the sockets don't rotate. Some plug-in devices take up a space and a half on the outlets, leaving one of the outlets unusable when plugging in those particular devices. This problem could have been avoided if the bushings could rotate. CONCLUSION: This is a very good choice, especially if you need a longer cable.
