UPDATE October 20, 2017 I now have 2 SoundTouch 30, 8 SoundTouch 20, 1 pair of SoundTouch 10 and a SoundTouch 130 home theater system. I bought the first one on July 28, 2016. 30 and 20 are high quality MONO speakers (it's absurd that 20 and 30 still can't be turned into stereo pairs). As a stand alone speaker I would give 30 and 20 5 stars and 10 2 stars. This update affects the SoundTouch software. After using it for over a year and updating with every new update, I am very disappointed. The current version is 16.0.9 and it's even worse. With each new update they add some nice features but don't offer reliable speaker syncing. Most of the time I play 1 30, 2 20 and my stereo pair of 10 together. Sometimes it works fine for 1-3 hours, and then chaos begins - the speakers drop out, and then the music speeds up, then slows down. 10 is the biggest problem - sometimes I can disable the 10th pair and it will work, but sometimes it still won't work. Sometimes disabling them all and disconnecting/reconnecting Bluetooth solves the problem, but sometimes it doesn't. This has always been a problem with software, but with version 16.0.9 it's probably worse than ever. I've called Bose support many times. I called today and they said their engineers are aware of the problem and are working on it. They have always known and worked on it. If you only play on one of the speakers, it works fairly reliably. Good sound and good bass. I use it with Revain Echo Dot. I have 2 SoundTouch 30s, 3 SoundTouch 20s and 1 SoundTouch 10 in my house. They all sync up well with random one second drops. I use the SoundTouch 20 in my guest bedroom bathroom (pictured), my master bathroom, and my smallest bedroom, and it's great in these small spaces. I find the SoundTouch 30 to be a worthwhile choice for large rooms. I like my music to be loud and bass-heavy, and if it's not then you'll probably like the SoundTouch 20 in large rooms too. The only thing I use the SoundTouch 10 for is some music right in front of me in a large room that I also have a SoundTouch 30 in.)
