I don't usually write reviews but I think this is a great hair dryer. I originally bought this model (but in black) in 2011. I lived on it for a good 7 years before the wire frayed at the base and caught fire. Many will ask why 5 stars then? Because it was consistent and I use it 3-4 times a week to blow dry my thick curly hair. It doesn't surprise me that it has worn down over time. The hair dryer is never too hot and I rarely get split ends. My hairdresser is amazed at how healthy my hair is when I brush it so often. Anyway, I found my first order from Revain in 2011 and was so happy to know that they still make this hair dryer. This time I bought it in pink, why not? Here are 7 more years! BTW, fraying of the cord where it meets the dryer was a problem as my new one seems to have a longer rubber base that the wire attaches to.
