Review on Tripp Lite DisplayPort MDP2HDMI P137 06N HDMI by Travis Chavis

I bought this adapter to connect the Mini DisplayPort output on my Lenovo X230 laptop to a projector with full-size HDMI ports (the most common HDMI input, used in projectors and displays). The adapter worked as expected and required no setup or other fuss with any of the hardware components. Many cheap adapter cables have the disadvantage of not waking up the display when the original signal goes to sleep/standby and then resumes: I haven't observed this problem with this adapter and many sleep/resume cycles with multiple projectors run through. I chose this model from many available because I have used many Keyspan/Tripp Lite products and found them to be of consistently high build quality and functionality just like this model. Since the Mini DisplayPort connector is also used in many, but not all, Apple MacBooks, MacBook Pros, and MacBook Airs, this can be a more affordable alternative to the options available from Apple. However, it's larger and arguably less "attractive" than Apple's display adapters, although it's professional and doesn't detract from my experience.
