I bought this for my job where I weld 2-3 times a week. I've had it for about a month now and my only regret is that I waited so long to purchase a quality hood. The look is much cleaner than the cheap Chinese car tints I've used and much better than the Lincoln. The only real competitor to this hood is the flash. The "X-Mode" function is essentially an electromagnetic field sensor, so bright shop lights and sun do not cause dimming and can detect an arc around a corner or behind a panel.
