Review on LG 32UL750-W 32-Inch 4K Monitor Display - Silver, 3840x2160P, High Dynamic Range, Anti-Glare Screen by Andrew Dikkers

Revainrating 2 out of 5

HDR cannot be calibrated. Even when calibrated, the SDR shows excessive banding.

You can only customize the color in custom mode. Gamma is not limited. The VA panel showed a change in image brightness when you moved your head, which you don't get with IPS. When you set the display to HDR via Windows 10 and try to adjust the color, the options appear greyed out. The white dot is wrong and you cannot fix it. The default "Black Stabilizer" of "50" appears to be the closest to the sRGB gamma curve. People who suggest setting it to "0" to get higher black quality will get black crushed. Although the charts are fine after calibration for SDR, the screen image appears "off", with more banding gain than a comparable calibrated SDR IPS panel. Contrast ratio is good and my device had decent black uniformity and some backlight bleeding. I think you get what you pay for. If LG unlocked calibration for all modes, it would make a great multipurpose display for light content creation and dirty casual gaming.

Pros
  • Connection technology: USB type C
Cons
  • Heavier than other monitors
