I've had this ottoman less than a week and I've noticed that the padding on the top is squeezing, especially around the edges. It really pinches when you put your feet on it, so much so that the buttons that button it up hang down, so I have to be careful moving my legs around or to the side or they'll rip out. I bet I'll accidentally pull at least one or two. It will inflate to some extent after your legs are removed. It remains flattened at the edges. This is a good height for a sofa. I got it because I lifted my leg after surgery. I only paid $40 so can't complain that it has a limited lifespan. Pretty to look at, beige fabric is like linen, no smell, easy to attach legs, light weight.
