I really liked the adapter when I first got it. It is unobtrusive, has 2 sockets and a USB port. What's not to like? The two adapter pins for EU and UK are the Achilles heel. It's not entirely Monster's fault, but they should have taken into account that some outlets won't work with this adapter. Sometimes when the socket is tight and you use some force when inserting the adapter, the pins will bend. There is no support for the prongs, so the adapter often gets stuck in European sockets and supports the weight of whatever is attached to it with just those two flexible prongs. So that the adapter does not fall out of the socket, nothing is superfluous. I tried to secure the adapter so it wouldn't fall out, but I didn't have to. Eventually, the adapter fell out of its socket and one of the pins broke, rendering the adapter useless as a travel adapter. .
