Works well enough, the transfer speed is the same as the previous case I fried by connecting it to a USB-C cable that goes to the charger instead of mine MacBook was connected. Yes, oops. As far as I can tell the limiting factor is the SSD you have plugged in, not the case itself as I see other high end components than my Sandisk using the SSD and getting faster speeds. Also, for those complaining about the rubber band: it's a rubber band. I do not like it? You are not allowed to use it. It's all about aesthetics here, as the case itself is closed with two small screws covered with a rubber strap. If you can't stand the sight of small countersunk screws, you don't need a rubber band. The only downside I can think of is that the USB-C connector is a little flat so the cable doesn't plug in as tightly as in other cases, but the upside is that this case actually comes with a USB-C -Cable to USB-C, unlike most of these cases that come with a USB-C to USB-A cable.
