Not great, but they work

This maXpeedingrods coilover kit was perhaps one of those products that is too good to be true. After reading the description, these coilovers offer most of the setup you're looking for at an incredibly affordable price. The box was pretty much broken in front of my front door and I hoped that the coilovers were not damaged. The quality of the box and the styrofoam used was very inferior which explains why the box looked the way it did. Luckily, the coilovers looked fine. Three of the four coilovers came pre-installed, which was a little disappointing as it means more time to adjust than to set up and get back on the road. This problem is not so important for those who know what they are doing, but not everyone understands it. The anodized finish is well done and looks great after installation. The ability to adjust ride height without changing preload is a great feature not typically offered at this price point. They say they offer adjustable rebound. I'm not sure how important it really is, but it's nice to have them. The ride is sportier than the stock but limited by stance. I only compare them to stocks by price. Body roll is reduced and the ride height can be adjusted to your liking, which is not possible with stock components. I hope these coilovers last a long time because there are OEM replacement parts that offer a lifetime warranty for the same price as MaXpeedingrods. As far as I can recommend these coilovers, I'm not sure I can. You get what you pay for and at least as long as they work.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Not everything fits
