Belkin Car Cup Holder Smartphone Holder - Black I purchased a Belkin car cup holder on December 16, 2016 and in the second half of April 2017 it stopped working! Has the ribbed hinged top of the cup holder stopped rotating the device's side panels (which attach the device to the inside of your car's cup holder) and instead started flipping open the opening of the device? I have no idea how the ribbed platter came loose from the base but I was unable to reattach the platter to its base and unfortunately I now have a useless drink holder! It's really sad because the overall design of this product is very good, but apparently the mechanics of the device are not very good! I'm really surprised because it's made by Belkin and their products are usually well made, but unfortunately Belkin gets a bad review for this product because it only lasts 5 months before failing and the warranty expired in January. The warranty period is very short in my opinion.
